Is there an ERP for our app?

The first iteration of the app won’t include an Enterprise Resource Planning system,
though it will have tools to make managing stores easier.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have existed for decades, growing substantially in popularity over the last 20 years or so as companies and their operations have become more complex and progressively digital in nature. ERP software typically brings together a wide range of inter-connected business activities and stakeholder interactions under the same roof, allowing companies to collect, interpret and leverage data about these. This might include activities and operations as diverse as accounting, production, sales and customer service, amongst others.

Whilst we recognise the value of ERP in enabling businesses to function more efficiently and effectively, the first release of the decentralized e-commerce application will not include an ERP system. At this point, our priority is on deploying working software and ensuring that the basic functionality of enabling users to transact securely and smoothly works well. We are, however, integrating a bulk upload feature that will allow sellers to manage their inventory more easily.

There is nothing to stop sellers from integrating their existing ERP systems with our app. If you need assistance doing this or have any questions about it, please contact us at info@bitboost.net.
